A fresh Wilderness, new trials and clearer quests
Our 15–17 October update: an 8,000-block Wilderness, profession XP restored, new solo and party challenges, and better help with your next objective.
The Wilderness has a fresh start. On 15 October, we regenerated the Overworld, Nether, End, Twilight Forest and AE2 Spatial Storage worlds, and increased the Wilderness diameter from 6,000 to 8,000 blocks. Skyhaven, player inventories and saved progression were kept. Old terrain, builds and stored chests in the reset worlds were cleared.
Profession XP is available again after a temporary pause while we repaired the XP-saving queue. Your saved levels and XP were retained. Open /professions or /skills to see your progress; your total profession level adds together all 11 professions.
Finding your next quest step should take less guesswork. The journal now has All, Active, Ready and Completed filters, alongside personal missing-material lists and links to player-market searches. Use /wayfinder for NPC directions or /journey for your next objective. The objective HUD and private login hints also help you pick up where you left off.
Five personal Twilight Forest fieldtrips now cover the Forest, Swamp, Dark Forest, Snowy Peaks and Highlands. Open /fieldtrip for route goals, progress and packing advice based on what you already carry. The original Twilight Forest boss and advancement requirements still apply, so these routes guide your expedition without skipping its progression.
Dain has a new optional story quest: Foundry Oath. Finish the seven Chapter I quests and his three commissions, then visit /workshop to accept it. Start /trial foundry story on unclaimed Wilderness ground in Survival, then return to Dain after your victory. Completing the quest awards 150 Fighting profession XP once. The Foundry Sentinel now gives you a counterattack window after you dodge its special attack, and Briarheart pauses its melee attacks during its warning and briefly afterwards.
Want to practise together? /partytrial supports groups of two to five, with each member choosing whether to join. In /partytrial resonance, your group solves a shared rune-pad puzzle before facing the Echo Warden. Personal hints help you find the right rune, including its direction and height. Party trials are practice encounters and do not award coins, XP or items.
There is more to keep track of outside quests, too. /collections shows your existing Minecraft mining, monster and fishing statistics, while the bestiary follows your own story and Twilight progress. The new /discoveries chronicle records ten ores, from coal to ancient debris, as you make new eligible Survival discoveries. It starts tracking new finds rather than awarding credit for past mining, and has no completion rewards.
For Dain’s commissions and daily orders, production plans help break the requested items down into materials. /orders shows a hand-in preview and asks you to confirm before submitting. Return hints now recognise saved material hand-ins, rewards and pending profession XP, so they can point you to what is actually left to do.
These changes are deployed, but the full playthrough still needs to be checked with normal player accounts. If a quest, menu, hand-in or fight gets stuck, please open a private Discord support ticket with the command you used, the quest or order name, and the message you saw. That gives us a concrete place to start.
