New group challenges, fishing discoveries and expedition help
Solve runes before a Foundry fight, record four fish discoveries and find missing supplies through the market. This update also brings travel, mining and Twilight portal fixes.
Today’s update gives you more to do with a group and better help before heading into the wilds. There is a new route through the party trials, more discoveries to record and field notes for four familiar creatures.
These changes are live on the server. Here is what to try, what has been fixed and what still needs player feedback.
Solve the runes, then face the Foundry
Use /partytrial foundryrunes for a shared rune puzzle followed by Foundry practice. The group leader starts the request for two to five players on unclaimed Wilderness ground. Everyone needs to have completed Chapter I and Dain’s three commissions, and everyone—including the leader—must accept within 30 seconds.
The same confirmed group takes part in both phases. The rune puzzle and Foundry fight share an eight-minute time limit, and normal death rules apply.
This is a practice challenge. It awards no coins, XP or items, does not complete the Foundry Oath story quest and does not save new group progression.
Four fish to add to your discoveries
Your personal /discoveries record can now track cod, salmon, pufferfish and tropical fish alongside the ten existing ore discoveries. Catch them yourself with a fishing rod in Survival outside Skyhaven to record new finds.
Earlier catches are not added retroactively, and another player’s catch does not count as yours. The discovery entries have no extra XP or item rewards; your existing records are kept.
Read up before your next encounter
The bestiary now has field notes for Creepers, Cave Spiders, Witches and Endermen: how they behave, what to watch for and what they can drop. Open /collections, choose Monsters, then click one of those creatures. Existing story encounter cards also link to their matching guides.
These are reference pages. Opening one does not start a fight or award encounter progress.
Find the supplies your expedition is missing
Open /fieldtrip and check your personal packing list. Missing food, torches or soul torches, a shield or a water bucket? The relevant supply entries can now open a filtered search in the player market.
The search does not buy anything. Buying still requires a separate confirmation in Skyhaven: choose an available listing, check its price and confirm the purchase through the usual market flow.
Travel, mining and the Twilight entrance
We have also released several fixes since the base-raiding update:
- Wilderness arrivals, returns and home travel prepare missing destination chunks before the final safety check and teleport. Outside Skyhaven, the three-second travel warmup and combat lock still apply.
- A server-side issue that could block ordinary mining or building with “Please wait a moment before trying again” has been addressed. Existing claim protection and Skyhaven protection remain active.
- The public Twilight Forest entrance now uses the intended portal-access settings. This addresses the repeating portal overlay caused by the entrance claim blocking travel; the surrounding build and storage protections remain in place.
- Profession saving has more capacity. Your saved XP, progression curve and daily limits are unchanged.
Vora is now on Modrinth
Our official Modrinth server page is publicly available. Open the installation section of the player guide, follow the Vora Modrinth link and choose Play to install a server-linked instance in the Modrinth App.
The current pack is still 0.1.0-alpha.7-backpacks for Minecraft Java 1.21.1. An old manually imported instance does not become linked automatically. Keep it until you have moved any local maps or waypoints you want, and follow the guide’s update steps. Keep the pack’s matching mod versions together.
What still needs a playthrough
The deployed versions have passed build and isolated server checks, but complete runs with normal player accounts are still needed for the new group challenge, fishing records, travel, portal entry and return, and the linked Modrinth installation and update flow.
Preparing a travel destination is separate from pregenerating the whole Wilderness. New terrain can still take time to generate.
If a command, menu or journey gets stuck, open a private Discord support ticket with the command you used, what you expected and the message you saw. That gives us a useful starting point without exposing your base coordinates.
