Village Waystones, better travel and more Twilight notes

Find Waystones in Wilderness villages, take one home and catch up on the Nether and End teleport fixes. Profession XP is currently paused.

There is a new reason to stop at a village on your next Wilderness trip. Waystones are now part of Vora, alongside fixes for teleport requests and more help with the later Twilight Forest bosses.

Here is what has changed since our last update on 20 October.

Find a Waystone, then make it part of your base

Waystones are placed in Wilderness villages. We have also scanned the already explored world and added stones to eligible existing villages, so you do not have to start exploring fresh terrain to find one.

Right-click a Waystone to activate it, then right-click it again to choose another Waystone you have activated.

You can mine a village Waystone with a pickaxe and place it somewhere else. There are no crafting recipes for Waystones: finding one in the world is how you get one. Taking a village stone does not cause a replacement to appear there.

Some incomplete villages or sites blocked by existing builds or protected land may still be waiting for a suitable placement. We have not replaced player blocks to make room.

Install the Waystones pack before joining

The current published pack is 0.1.0-alpha.8-waystones for Minecraft Java 1.21.1. It includes Waystones and its required library. Use the installation section of the player guide for the Modrinth link or the manual download.

If you use an older manually imported instance, restarting Minecraft does not update it. Follow the guide’s update steps and keep your old instance until you have copied any local maps, waypoints or settings you want to retain.

Teleport requests in the Nether and End

The server no longer rejects /tpaccept simply because you are in the Nether or the End. Teleport requests still need a safe destination, and the normal combat and travel restrictions remain in effect.

Waystone travel is also tied into the server’s combat checks. It is not a way around an active combat lock.

Field notes for four more Twilight bosses

The Twilight field guide now includes the Knight Phantom, Ur-Ghast, Alpha Yeti and Snow Queen. Open /expedition and choose Twilight field guide to read their notes.

These pages help you prepare for the encounters. The Twilight Forest’s usual boss and advancement requirements still apply; reading a guide does not unlock a boss or award progress.

Reconnects, respawns and returning to Skyhaven

Recent server fixes also improve how reconnects, respawns and travel handle Skyhaven’s separate inventory views and old teleport requests. These changes are deployed, but we are still checking the complete journeys with normal player accounts.

Profession XP is temporarily paused

Profession XP is currently paused while we review the saved progress records. The older news post saying XP had reopened describes the state on 17 October; it is not the current status.

Profession levels will not advance while this pause is in place. We will post another update when earning profession XP is available again.

What we still need to check in play

The updates above are deployed. Full normal-player checks of Waystone activation, travel costs, mining and moving a stone, and Nether/End teleport requests are still open. The normal launcher update flow for a linked Modrinth instance also needs a complete playthrough.

If you get stuck, open a private Discord support ticket with your pack version, the command or action you tried and the message you saw. Keep base coordinates out of public channels.
